Cooking: Baked Oysters

Yesterday whilst grocery shopping with mum, we decided to get some oysters for dinner. Kinda cheap at $9.99 a doz (although u can get it for $7 a doz at narooma) since it's normally around $12 or more a doz.But at that price there must be a catch right? Catch is they were UNSHUCKED oysters, in other words they weren't opened yet. I learned how to shuck oysters almost a year ago when we went to Narooma in NSW, that place is full of oysters. Really really nice town, the water is crystal blue.
So we didn't end up eating the oysters yesterday for dinner and instead we ate them for lunch today. Decided to make baked oysters.
Ingredients: Oysters, onion, bacon, cream and cheese.

Before they went under the grill

After they came out
Quite nice, could have been better. Everytime you learn something and you'll know how to improve next time.
Don't know when i'll cook next.

FOOD :D

So for those who know me know that I LOVE FOOD!!!! That's cooking and eating :)
So this blog is most likely going to be based on food, and its HK so there's awesome food everywhere.
So yesterday i was watching this honkie food tv show with my family. The show is about this lady who just goes and eats at different restaurants in HK and talks about it. So my bro, Doug, came up with this idea that we should make a video for all the different things we eat in HK and post it on youtube.
So what do you think? Personally i don't think anyone would watch it anyways.

Might take a pic of my room later. Started collecting food pics and recipes this year, mainly in the second half. Now half my wall space is filled with these pics.

Changing the layout

So i've spent the morning fiddling around with the layout and stuff. Thanks Jeff for helping me :)
So i'm still thinking of what i need to buy in hk and what i need to eat. So if you have any suggestions please leave a comment.
Also if anyone wants me to buy anything specific for them when I'm in HK, can you also please tell me.

Welcome

So this blog is about my trip to HK.
My main goal to record and remember my trip to HK.
Just a bit about myself.
I was born in HK but i came to Melb before i even had memories.
I never really liked going back to HK because it was a daunting place and i guess i didn't see what was so great about it.
But as you grow older, more mature you realise your heritage, where you're from and you start to have a desire to return there.
And for the past 2 years, i've wanted to go back to HK just for a holiday.
I think its from my drama addiction, made me start to miss HK.
So finally I'm going back for a holiday and I'm really excited.
Before my parents decided to go back to HK in the summer holidays, i had this awesome plan to hardcore do as much coursework for year 12 as i could, but now thats all down the drain :D
So I hope to keep everyone who bothers to read and possibly follow this blog updated and interested. But still a while till its summer holidays so i probably won't post much at all until then.
